Versatile X-Y Stereo

The Zoom XYH-6 Shockmounted XY capsule (included with the H6 Handy Recorder), uses a pair of cardioid condenser capsules to give you a broad range of XY stereo sound. In 90-degree mode, the X-Y field captures a focused stereo that’s ideal for distance miking. When you rotate the capsules into 120-degree mode, the XYH-6 provides you with a much broader spread that’s perfect for capturing wider ambience, which makes it particularly useful for close miking.
