The Heritage Standard H-150 is outfitted with a set of Seymour Duncan ’59 pickups. These pickups represent Seymour Duncan’s take on classic Seth Lover PAF (Patent Applied For) humbuckers from the late 1950s. All the classic ingredients are there, including plain enamel wire, a long-legged bottom plate, and a vintage-correct single-conductor cable. That said, these vintage-inspired humbuckers exhibit mids that are slightly more scooped than the Seth Lover model and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The guitarists here at City Music appreciate the versatility of these humbuckers. Whether you plug into a vintage tube combo or into a modern high-gain amplifier, they deliver the goods. Seymour Duncan ’59 pickups eschew the Seymour Duncan logo to maintain a period-correct look. The Standard H-150 features CTS 500k potentiometers and Vishay .022uF capacitors.
A tradition of quality handcrafted guitars
For 68 years, 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was home to one of America’s premier guitar manufacturers. In 1984, the company moved its operations. The next year, desiring to carry on the tradition of handcrafting electric guitars in Kalamazoo, three former senior employees — who possessed a combined 84 years of guitar-building experience — founded Heritage, buying space and much of the original equipment in the iconic factory. Heritage has since established its own tradition of quality by handcrafting guitars with flawless playability, tone, and visual appeal. Everybody loves vintage guitars.
