C. F. Martin & Co. has always made prudent use of natural resources, especially rare or endangered tonewoods. At the same time, we're committed to building guitars of superior tone and playability that are affordable to every guitarist.

The X-Series Acoustic Electric Collection more than meets both these criteria. Back and sides are constructed of patented high-pressure laminate (HPL) and then joined to a solid Sitka spruce or HPL top.

The Fishman Sonitone system features proven Sonicore under-saddle pickup technology combined with "easy access" volume and tone controls conveniently and strategically located just inside the soundhole.
